First of a series… What Christmas looked like for the Bailey family this year. This first one is of a candle holder in our kitchen. The quotes are from John 1, one of the most profound pieces of writing in all of scripture.

For the photographically-minded: Taken using Nikon D800 won a monopod at ISO 3200, 1/50th sec and f/5.3, 200mm, Nikon 55-300mm lens.  This was sufficient to throw the background out of focus.  Was deliberately slightly underexposed to ensure that the background candle flam didn’t “blow out” (no pun intended) and to capture the gentle warmth of the light within the candle holder in the foreground.
